Who We Are as an Organization
UCCE is a cooperatively supported effort between county and federal government, and the state (University of CA). Generally, the University of California provides program staff with Shasta County providing support staff. At UCCE, we apply for grants to conduct applied research on issues pertinent to Shasta County agriculture, natural and human resources. Statewide networks of agriculture, natural resources, forestry, 4-H, and nutrition and consumer science staff are dedicated to conducting research and extending results to farmers, ranchers, forest landowners, students, teachers and interested citizens.
